BMR Calculator

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the number of calories your body needs at rest to maintain vital functions such as breathing, circulation, and cell production.

Mifflin-St Jeor Equation:
For men: BMR = 10 × weight (kg) + 6.25 × height (cm) – 5 × age (years) + 5
For women: BMR = 10 × weight (kg) + 6.25 × height (cm) – 5 × age (years) – 161
  • BMR accounts for the majority of your daily calorie needs.
  • To estimate total daily energy expenditure (TDEE), multiply BMR by an activity factor.
  • BMR decreases with age and is lower in women than in men.
